Building Condition Reports

Property owners or managers commission Building Condition Reports for a variety of reasons, more often than not as a precursor to an impending remedial building work project or substantial upgrade. Their intention is to obtain professional advice on the condition of the structure and the recommended allocation of financial resources and priorities with respect to the staging of future remedial building works.

The Building Condition Report provides a secondary function in that it is often employed as the base reference for a specification or scope of works, and may be presented in a table format that is conducive to conversion into a scope of works forming the foundation of detailed Tender Documentation. The Building Condition Report includes a visual inspection of the building and associated structures and surrounds, however we also offer destructive and non-destructive investigation services where required by our clients. Following our site inspection(s) we prepare a comprehensive written report which, like our General Building Surveys, includes an introduction, synopsis of any relevant background or brief, our detailed observations, comments, recommendations, conclusion and photographic record.
