Our service encompasses preparation of a range of reports from simple defect lists based on a visual inspection that may be suitable for use during the thirteen-week maintenance period (typical of many standard home building agreements), through to comprehensive litigation compliant expert-format reports suitable for use in the Supreme Court that are based on detailed destructive and non-destructive site investigations and a thorough review of all relevant background information that may be obtained through Council searches or subpoena by our client’s legal representation.

We are also able to provide support during negotiations with the original builder regarding its impending return to address any identified building defects, including negotiating the method(s) of rectification and eventual scope of works. We are also experienced in liaising with lawyers engaged to oversee and manage the defects process, preparing Scott Schedules for legal proceedings and attending expert conclaves.
